The City of Ferguson Missouri a Suburb of St. Louis Along With the Rest Of the Nation Is In Outrage Over The Shooting of Michael Brown

On August 9, 2014 in the City of Ferguson Missouri another armed African American teen was shot to death by a Caucasian Police Officer, Darren Wilson, 28. When I first heard of this shooting, the first thing that came to mind was they got another one. I also said the police officer Darren Wilson, was going to get away with it. On November 24, 2014 the Grand Jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson. That was not anything new, it was just another African American. This has been going on for hundreds of years and it will continue as long as we have this prejudice legal system. Yes, I said it the legal system is so prejudice against people of color it is outrageous! After the verdict was read protester in the streets expressed how they felt and it was nothing nice. The protesters in Ferguson Missouri torn the streets up burned down buildings, now they are under a curfew. In Oakland California protesters shut down streets and a freeway. New York City had riots after the verdict was announced. Boston also had protesters voicing the outrage. This was not just one race fueling their indignation it was people of all races. What we can do as a people, is to keep voicing our disgrace for injustice and just maybe the legal system will change.

How do you feel about Immigration Reform and What President Obama said?

Immigration is one of the touchiest topics in the U.S. today. President Obama is going to bat for the 5 million plus of illegal immigrants in this country. The Republicans have been blocking immigration reform since President Obama took office. He is evoking his executive power on immigration reform. The old Republicans and newly appointed Republicans in congress, think that he is abusing his power. If it were up to them, they would continue deporting 1000 of illegal immigrants daily. The Republicans want to deport all illegal immigrants not taking into consideration some of these people fled dangerous situations in their country. If you ask me or anyone that has common since, this is a blatant case of prejudice and just not caring. Especially the illegal immigrants that have been in this country for more than five, ten and twenty years. What about the children that are born in the U.S. to these illegal immigrants, their U.S. citizens? I think President Obama should step in and stop the deportation. All President Obama wants to do is make it legal for illegals that are here. This is what he proposes for all illegals. Have they been in this country for 5 years, do they have children that are U.S. citizens, they can register, pass a background check and pay their share of taxes? They will be able to apply to stay in this country without any repercussions, until they pass all 5 things. This is common since. I don’t see what the big deal is. The illegals that have been here all this time without paying taxes would contribute to our society. That’s a good thing, this means more money for the government. I can’t believe the Republicans see this. Republicans should be ashamed, don’t they know that if they deported all the illegals their lives would not be the same. Who would do all the menial jobs that they themselves don’t want to do. Come on Congress move on get on board and pass immigration reform. The United States has more pressing problems to worry about like, Terrorist, Homelessness and Hunger!
