As the Mehserle verdict looms over all of our heads, cities are preparing for civil unrest if the verdict goes in favor of Mehserle. I was watching the news the other day they were showing the police in Oakland with riot gear doing exercises on crowd control. They are setting up stage areas with Police, Fire and Medical personal. It would be great if the Oakland surprised everyone and behaved civilly. I know this is wishful thinking.
It’s really sad that in 2010, that we still have police officers killing or beating citizens for no apparent reason. No wonder citizens get mad and destroy property and lash out at the police. I’m not saying their justified in doing this, but come on! It’s all the years of frustration.
People are sick and tried of how the police get away with murder and beating innocent people. I my opinion Mehserle is guilty of First Degree Murder no less than Second Degree Murder. If he gets off with voluntary manslaughter, involuntary manslaughter or innocent of all charges, it’s going to be bad.
