GUN CARRYING PROTESTERS


GUN CARRYING PROTESTERS The Bill Of Rights, our Second Amendment, “A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”. Ok this is our right, but some of these people carrying guns to the protest where the President is speaking are a little overboard. Why do they have to carry guns to a protest? Don’t these people know that they are making people nervous; they are also inciting people to possible act violent. In all my days I have not seen any protesters, protesting a Presidential speaking engagement where people are openly carrying guns. George Carlin


Most of you probably remember George Carlin as one of the funniest, though, controversial stand-up comics of our time. He died last year one month before his 71st birthday,,.leaving behind a body of work that was unique, witty, satiric, dark, and raw-dog in style, which touched on politics, taboo subjects, and often graphic language.
His albums produced 5 grammy awards, and he enjoyed success as an actor and author as well. While frail in stature, George had lots to say...and while his unique style repelled many, it touched and enlightened millions more.
However, what I'm about to share with you is something I, (One of his biggest fans) would never have expected to come from HIM! Sometime shortly before his death, George left the world a writtin message that nearly FLOORED me! And, no, I don't mean like making me laugh so hard I was rolling on the floor. THIS message runs much deeper! Please take a moment to read, and enjoy:
The paradox of our history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, and wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, and we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses, and smaller families. We have more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees, but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgement, more experts yet more problems...and more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessley, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life, but not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleared up the air, but polluted our souls. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but acomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men, and small character, steep profits and shallow relatonships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses but broken homes.
These are the days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw-away morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. These are the times when there is much in the showroom window, and nothing in the stock room.
It is a time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share its insight, or just simply...CLICK delete.
REMEMBER; to spend some time with your loved ones, because they're not going to be around forever.
Remember; to say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person will soon grow up and leave your side.
Remember; to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure that you can give with your heart...and it doesn't cost you a cent.
Remember; to say 'I Love You' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all....mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt, when it comes from deep inside of you.
Remember; to hold hands and cherish the moment, for someday that person will not be there any more.
Remember; to give time to love, give time to speak, and give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

What does giving 100-percent really mean?


What does giving 100-percent really mean? What do people REALLY mean when they say they're giving 100-percent and more? We hear it all the time in motivational speeches and at sales meetings..."I'm going to give it 110-percent"or, "I demand no less than a 100-percent from everyone"!
But, how is 100-percent measured? Let's turn to a simple math formula worked out many years ago by two college math professors with more than 80-years of experience between them.
IF,
A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z is represented by:

ROLLER COASTERS ACCIDENTS


ROLLER COASTERS ACCIDENTS Being a person who loves roller coasters, has me wondering are they really safe as they can be . Great America in Santa Clara Ca. had a problem on Monday August 10, 2009 with a roller coaster called Vertigo. This similar thing happened back in April 2000, in the same year a boy fell from the Drop Zone roller coaster. I started going to Great America when it first open in the late 70’s. I’ve rode the Vertigo 5 times through out the years. There have been consumer complaints on roller coasters accidents and fatalities throughout this nation over the years. ANOTHER MARIJUANA BUST NETS $60 MILLION I’m sitting here wondering why they just won’t legalize marijuana. The authorities, raid all these illegal pot growing facilities and burn it all. We’re talking about millions of dollars. In the hills of Palo Alto Ca. this week 20,000 marijuana plants were seized, Again there just going to burn it. Well I say legalize it and tax it, Just like they did with alcohol back when it was illegal. The authorities act like marijuana is so bad, It's not. Now Crack and Meth are, and there highly addictive. If marijuana were legal and taxed it would help the economy. GANG KILLINGS ON THE RISE IN SMALL TOWN It’s a shame that a town the size of Salinas Ca. with a population of 90,000 or more has 20 killings already and the year isn’t over. What are these gangs trying to beat? There record of 25 killings in 2008? Salinas needs to come up with several ways to slow down these gangs, before there up there with Richmond Ca., Oakland Ca. and Compton Ca. in homicides do to gang violence. This gang violence is out hand, I feel that if it gets worse businesses are going leave. RECYCLED WASTEWATER

Our water supply is dwindling. It’s coming down to recycling wastewater.
Here in San Jose Ca. and Santa Clara Ca. were in a drought situation. I
think recycling wastewater sounds gross, but what other choice do we have
our rainfall season isn’t enough. I think the water district should come
up with a program that gives consumers a bigger incentive to cut there
water use that might help. Orange County is already recycling wastewater;
I sure would like to poll the people to see how many exactly drink water
from the tap.
