Typhoon Haiyan hit the
eastern coast of the Philippine Island leaving in its wake death and
destruction. The official death toll as of Tuesday November 12, 2013
is 1,774 and climbing. This is so sad! Not only are the people trying
to survive destruction Typhoon Haiyan. They have to deal with
landslides that were trigged by the Typhoon. Help is slow coming.
Doctor in Tacloban reported that there are 1,000 of people with cuts,
bruises, lacerations and deep wounds that need medicine. The
survivor are not getting the help they need fast enough. The
Philippine communities in the bay area are having fundraisers to
raise money for the survivors. If you would like to help contact your
local Philippine community center. You can also contact your local
Red Cross 1-800-733-2767 or at the link below. My prayers go out to
the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
