For all you haters who
dubbed the Affordable Care Act, Obama-Care shame on you. You wanted it
to fail so bad because President Obama purposed it. If it were
purposed by any other President, it would have been the greatest
thing since sliced bread. When I’d ask people, did they sign up for Obama-Care? The answer I’d get is oh no! I signed up for the
Affordable Care Act. There are some ignorant people out there, who
don’t know that Obama-Care and the Affordable Care Act is one in the
same. When President Obama purposed the Affordable Care Act in his
campaigning for President, the Republicans and some Democrats said
this would not work. I think his vision of the Affordable Care Act,
was one of the most courageous thing any President has done for the
people. Yes, maybe it started off a little shaky and all the cynics
said it was a failure. Well on Monday March 31, 2014 7.1 million
people signed up for Obama-Care (Affordable Care Act), and the number
is still rising. President Obama said in a speech on Tuesday April 1,
2014, "The bottom line is this: Under this law, the share of
Americans with insurance is up, and the growth of health care costs
is down. And that's good for our middle class, and that's good for
our fiscal future," and "As messy as it's been sometimes,
as contentious as it's been sometimes, it's progress.” Yes, the
Affordable Care Act has helped my family members and friends of all
colors. Now we can sleep a little better knowing we can go to the
doctor before we get sick.
