San Bernardino California Will Be Forever Changed After The Shooting Of 35 Innocent People

When I wake up in the morning, I always say thank you God for waking me up. I thought it was going to be a nice kick back day. Then I turned on the news and was saddened at what I was hearing. On Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 11a.m. in San Bernardino, California Syed Rizwan Farook 28 and Tashfeen Malik 27 a married couple armed with .223-caliber assault rifles, semiautomatic handguns, and explosives opened fire at the Inland Regional Center. A Social Services center that helps the disabled. They killed 14 people and injured 21. Authorities are now coming out and calling it what it is Terrorist! I believe Syed Farook went to his jobs holiday festivity for the Public Health Department determined to get into an altercation, for a weak excuse to go back. For him to go home and get his wife put on body armor, bring assault weapons, explosives shoot 35 people in cold blood was planned. After the two terrorist were shot and killed hours later in a shootout with police. Authorities went to these two sick individuals home in Redlands California and found a dozen pipe bombs, 2,000 9-millimeter handgun rounds, 2,500 .223-caliber assault rifle rounds and hundreds of tools. I think this shooting was a preview of what they had planned. Thank God they were killed before they caused any more bloodshed. I know that in the days to come we will find out more and who else was involved with this horrific act. This was the nation’s deadliest mass shooting since the assault on an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., nearly three years ago. Now will congress and the NRA going to do something about gun control? Probably not, because it is always about money. It should not be easy to get your hands on assault weapons. San Bernardino California will be forever changed after the shooting of 35 innocent people. My prayers go out to all the families that lost loved ones the injured and the City of San Bernardino.

Amnesty Program For Traffic Ticket Started October 1, 2015

Driving is one thing most of us love to do. When you come of age and get your permit, then your license. It is one big accomplishment. As time goes by you might get a few traffic tickets for speeding, that’s ok. On the other hand, if you keep get the traffic tickets for moving violations, it adds up. Then you put yourself in a situation where you can’t pay the fines. The unthinkable happens your license is suspended. You’re driving around on suspended license, hoping you don’t get pulled over. With your license being suspended, let say you’re looking for a job and the potential employer ask, do you have a driver’s license? What are going to say? It was suspended for excessive traffic fines. Or you can lie and say you don’t drive? Either way you are more than likely, not getting the job.
For all the people driving illegally there is a Traffic Tickets and Infractions Amnesty Program that started on October 1, 2015 and ends on March 31, 2017. Who can participate in the amnesty program? Persons with unpaid tickets whose fines were originally due to be paid date on or before January 1, 2013, who have not made a payment after September 30, 2015, may be eligible to have both their debt reduced by 50 or 80 percent depending on income/ The driver's license could be reinstated, unless an exclusion discussed below applies. Persons who made a payment after September 30, 2015 on a ticket are not eligible for a reduction for that ticket, but may be eligible to have their driver’s license reinstated if they are in good standing on a payment plan with a comprehensive collection program. Persons with more than one ticket may not be eligible for a reduction on an individual ticket if the eligibility criteria are not satisfied for the ticket. Please check with your court for additional information. Any persons eligible to have a driver's license, (including undocumented individuals who are eligible for a driver's license under AB 60) are entitled to participate in the traffic amnesty program if they meet the eligibility requirements. Health Care Reform – It’s Time to Let Your Voices be Heard

Whether you’re a Democrat, Republican or Independent its time to take a stand on health care reform. This legislation is too important to keep your head in the sand. Now is the time to let your voices be heard that we need health care reform in this country. We voted these bozo’s in office to work together to pass legislation that would benefit all of us; not to politicize the issues for their own enrichment. I’m tired of the bickering. I want Congress to do their jobs.  If you haven’t been keeping up on the issues, the following is an overview on the current status of the health care bill taken from Justin Ruben at MoveOn.org.

Here's where we are:

The House of Representatives passed their bill last month. The Senate is aiming to pass its version before Christmas.

 

Overall, both pieces of legislation would do four major things:

• Create a "Health Insurance Exchange." The bills create a one-stop marketplace where people can choose from various insurance plans, including the public option. The details aren't set yet, but initially the Exchange would likely be open to the self-employed, people without insurance at work, and small businesses. The key with the Exchange is that it brings "the bargaining power and scale that's generally accessible only to large employers" to individuals—and with that, lower costs and better options.
• Provide insurance to over 30 million more people. The House bill would expand coverage to 36 million people by 2019. The Senate bill extends coverage to 31 million.
• Outlaw discrimination based on pre-existing conditions and gender. Insurance companies will have to stop denying coverage to people with "pre-existing conditions." And they won't be allowed to charge women more than men for the same coverage.
• Eliminate coverage limits and price-gouging. The bills differ on some details, but in general would place limits on how much people have to pay for health care beyond their premiums. They both cap out-of-pocket costs and ban insurance companies from setting limits on how much health care they'll cover for a person each year.

Here's what still needs to be fixed:

• Both bills leave millions uninsured. The House bill leaves 18 million without insurance in 2019; the Senate bill, 24 million.
• The Senate public option is weak, and conservatives are pushing to make it weaker. The public option is a core piece of reform that will create real accountability and competition for private insurance—and that's why it's at the center of such a huge fight.
• Many reforms don't start quickly enough. While some pieces of reform go into effect right away, the larger structural changes are not scheduled to go into effect until 2013 (House bill) or 2014 (Senate bill). This includes the Exchange, the public option, and subsidies—the major ways coverage will be expanded.
• Required insurance could still be too expensive for many. Both bills require virtually all Americans to have insurance. But the caps on how much we're expected to pay are way too high, and the subsidies are way too low.
• Reproductive rights are severely restricted in the House bill. An egregious anti-choice amendment in the bill virtually prohibits anyone purchasing insurance in the Exchange from buying a plan that covers abortion—even if paid for with their own money. We need to make sure the final bill doesn't include this rollback of reproductive rights.
• The Senate bill could discriminate against lower income workers. The current Senate legislation retains a version of what's called the "free rider" provision, which essentially penalizes employers for hiring lower income workers.

In the town of Red Bluff California the City Council approved two measures to ban collective and cultivation of marijuana. Red Bluff is a small town, but some of its citizens need marijuana to help with their illness.
Portland Maine is the fifth state to allow medical marijuana dispensaries.
Los Angeles district attorney has proof that cannabis outlets are a bad idea, because some places are selling to people who do not qualify. I think they should crack down and make the penalty stiff; people like these are making it hard on the legitimate businesses. In Salem Oregon medical marijuana users want to carry concealed handguns. This is there right, but it will open up other problems if the person in question has to use there gun. San Jose Ca. is considering legalizing marijuana dispensaries. I think every city should have medical marijuana dispensaries. Every city should look at medical marijuana dispensaries real carefully and put strict rules in place for anyone violators.

'The End of the World'...sooner, later, or never?

Members of every generation have pointed toward a possible 'End of the World' scenerio based on some biblical, astronomical, or technological. phenomenom,  that would mark the end of time for all mankind....usually within their lifetime.

Fortunately, their skeptics have been correct up until now... however, many who took stock in some spiritual or religious apocalypse due around the year 2000.... blinked hard a few years back!

This was the time pointed to by 16th-century clairvoyant Nostradamus and several other ancient prophets,  as the reign of some demonic Anti-Christ who would destroy nearly all of civilization,  before finallly being overtaken by God.  No sign of any satanic beast yet.

There was also a fear that all computerized technology would crash and burn when it's time-coded memory systems erased....hurling the world into kaos  as the clock struck midnight on New Years Eve, 2000.(Otherwise known as 'Y to K')   Nine years later, 'we're still going'...strong!

Our latest nightmare to come is right around the corner....just 1155 days away.  On December 21st, 2012 at the beginning of winter solstice, the earth and our sun will align with the galactic equator, as happens every year at this time. 

However, in 2012  this galactic alignment will directly intersect our solar system's common plane of ecliptic orbit at the precise, center-core of the Milky Way galaxy...where exists a huge cluster of black, dust clouds.

The ancient Mayan Indians actually based their calender and timeline on the appearance of these cosmic clouds during their astrological observations. They called the clouds 'The Great Rift', and for told of its perfect, galactic, epicenter intersection with our sun in 2012.... which is predicted to either enlighten our planet.... or destroy it!

Other 2012 theories have sprung up lately, some plausable, and others far-fetched.  They've even made the movie '2012'.  All stories tell about the end of the world.  However,just how many versions are believable? Who cares? Who's scared?  Who's bored?

As for me, 2012 is believable, but not especially scary...at least not.yet!  It's certainly not boring. But what I really care about are the actual dangers we face every day...like earthquakes, tsunami's, or that volcanic eruption at Yellowstone Park that could wipe out half the world if it erupts? (It's due any year now). How about global warming, pandemics, deadly virus's,  biological and chemical warefare.... and the frightening possibility of a nuclear haulocaust?.

If we DO manage to survive 2012, there's always the chance Earth could get hit by an asteroid. Actually, this might be the most possible scenerio of all.  IN FACT,  we already know WHERE, and WHEN we're going to get JUST-missed!!!  This is not a prediction or a guess. This is a scientific, astronomical, astrophysical, mathematical  FACT!

On Friday, April 13th, 2029 an asteroid named NM4  will pass the earth traveling at 23,000 miles per hour....and MISS the Earth's surface by 18,600 miles. That may seem far, but our geosynchronous satellites are even further out at 22,300 miles. There's a slim chance our satellites,  and the earthly conveniences they providel....could get in the  way!

The MN4 is 320 meters wide, and if it did hit land it would obliterate a state the size of Texas.  An ocean hit would create multiple tsunamis...and millions would die either way.  However, MN4 would not wipe out the world.  Why am I  even mentioning  this if it's going to miss us?  Because,  seven years later in 2035, MN4 will swing back by Earth....and some astronomers worry that our orbital plane may shake it off course.....and into us!

In 2004 when MN4 was first discovered, scientists gave it a 1 in 60 chance of hitting earth.  Those bad odds weren't nearly bad enough....and happily, better data has increased the odds over time.  Let's hope the data doesn't change for the worse over the next few years....or we discover another, bigger asteroid coming our way even sooner.

As for me, I'll stick to what I know, and that is; if I'm alive in 20 years,  I will actually walk outside on lucky Friday, April 13th, 2029 and gaze thankfully up at the night sky, watching this bright, point of light, four times larger than the biggest star....blaze across the heavens moving faster than any satellite. So long MN4!, I'll say.  I hope to see you pass safely by in 2035...as does the rest of the world....if it's still around!
