Michael Phelps being scrutinized? Why?
The man came out and apologized right out of the gate when the picture of him making a mistake, “as he admitted” came out. You know what, that’s what I really don’t understand though, when something happens like this to someone popular critics always say why did he or she not just apologize? Well guess what he did, and what do you know the critics still find other ways to criticize him. I feel that it’s just not right how famous people, be it an actor/actress, sports figure, etc. have to watch every single move they make because they know somebody else is watching those moves. It’s no wonder why they do some of the things they do, they all push them to that edge. Michael Phelps became an American icon when he became the first ever to win 8 gold medals in Olympic Games. He became an instant millionaire with all of his endorsement possibilities, and with all that money you know the young man is going to want to go out and have a good time. Not to say at all that it is an excuse to do what he did, just saying again though, he is still human and mistakes will be made “as he admitted”. So if some of us would just lay off a little and quit scrutinizing and being hypocritical allot more could be accomplished, which we will in turn be able to witness more wonderful fetes by these famous persons who are all in all just people.
