Donald Trump the 45th President Protest Break Out

Well first of all I’m glad this joke of an election is over. I saw all of this coming from the start. It was just like when that Bush character ran against Gore. The powers to be, did not want a democrat in office again so they fixed the election. The popular vote does not count. The people’s voice was not heard. The system of electoral vote should be abolished. You mean to tell me that the electoral votes in those small little counties counted more than the popular vote. Now we have our new racist, sexual deviate and the biggest bully for president. Donald Trump is our 45th president what does it all mean?

This means if Trump has his way, all you illegal aliens who don’t have your papers in order you better be scared. Donald Trump is coming for you. He’s going to round you up and ship you back to where you came from. Nobody is going to get in the country, so you might as well don’t even try. There will be no more illegal Mexicans, Asians, Middle Eastern, Europeans or Africans to work in the hotels, hospitals, tech jobs, farms, construction of roads buildings or bridges across America. He wants to put Americans back to work and make it great again. Is it going to be enough Americans qualified to do these jobs? No! For the African American male in the United States it’s going to be open season now. With the stop and frisk policy, this bigot wants to implement is totally outrageous. Like it’s not already horrific. With the police shootings of African American males for hundreds of years just because of their skin color. Is Trump going to be a puppet for the republicans to get their agenda passed? The biggest fear is if he doesn’t get his way with other nations he will start a war. The other fear that should be on everyone’s mind, is he going to be a puppet for the Russians. Yes!

This racist president of ours has truly divided our nation. As soon as he was elected, people took to the streets from the East coast to the West coast. People are raising up and protesting from New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., Los Angeles and Oakland. Thousands of people were causing traffic jams on streets and highways. There has been hundreds of arrest from coast to coast. This whole thing reminds me of those countries where civil wars have broken out because of an election. The people don’t want a president that is a sexual deviate, who does not respect women. Let alone one that wants to send Muslims, Mexicans and any other illegals back to where they came from. Even if they have been living here for years contributing to our society. I just have this to say, Donald Trump is going to keep this nation in chaos and we definitely don’t need this.

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Is On Its Last Leg

I remember when BART was open back in 1972, it was all the rage. It linked San Francisco, Oakland, Fremont and then Concord and Pittsburg. BART is coming to the San Jose in 2017. It’s about time. The only drawback is that BART is on its last leg in the North Bay. The system is 44 years old and the ridership has increased immensely. 100,000 more people ride BART than they did five years ago. This means BART carries about 440,000 passengers on an average weekday. People that ride BART daily are upset with BART because of the delays due to mechanical problems, over packed trains, price increases and run down stations. One line that is having major trouble is the Pittsburg-Bay Point and North Concord stations, it will be shut down intermittently  due to electrical surges on the tracks. It’s about time BART fixes the problem and stop putting a band aide on it. In November BART officials are planning to place a bond measure on the ballot for $3.5 billion to pay for fixing tracks, power systems, stations, other structures and the mechanical systems. Yes, people will be in an uproar because their taxes might get raised but they want it fixed.
I feel that all the people who ride BART should stop their whining and let Bart fix the whole system. I know it’s going to take some time but when it’s done think how smooth and easy your ride will be. One last thing, it’s better safe than sorry how about that!

Oakland’s Amazing World Champion Golden State Warriors Feed 20,000 Hungry People

Personally I’m so sick of the news, all you hear about is the bad things people do. You rarely hear of the good people do. Well this is one news worthy event that really makes me proud to live in the Bay Area. Oakland’s World NBA Champion Golden State Warriors are one amazing team and organization. They threw a party for their ticket season holders. The party consist of the ticket holder’s helping with bagging 20,000 lunches to feed the hungry, taking pictures with the players, questions and answer session. The Warriors are one great team. No team in history of the NBA has ever won 24 straight games to start their season. Their only loss was to the Milwaukee Bucks, I think they lost that game because the night before they played Boston and that game went into double overtime with the Warriors win. Plus they did not have two key players Thompson or Barnes. If they were playing it would have been a different story. We are fortunate to live in the Bay Area to have a World Championship NBA Team that is an remarkable class act. GO DUBS!

Artist Antonio Ramos Murdered

Antonio Ramos working on the West Street Mural in Oakland (Courtesy: Attitudinal Healing Connection of Oakland)

It really makes me sad as well as mad, to hear about something that is very positive that people are doing and some nut case ruins it. What the heck is this world coming to? On Tuesday September 29, 2015 just after 10:30am, the Oakland Police were called to the underpass of 580 freeway at West Street and 35th Street that someone had been shot. When the police arrived, artist Antonio Ramos was lying there bleeding to death. The other artists that had been working alongside Antonio, said he got into an argument with a man who shot him and ran away. Police have not arrested any one at this time. They are interviewing witnesses, including artists who were with the victim and will review footage from surveillance cameras in the area. Antonio Ramos was working with the Oakland Super Heroes Mural Project, which is being organized by ArtEsteem, the art and literacy arm of Attitudinal Healing Connection, a West Oakland Group that seeks to stop violence by inspiring people with art and education. ArtEsteem is raising funds to complete the remaining murals through an Indiegogo campaign at, www.indiegogo.com/projects/oakland-superheroes-mural-project   R.I.P. Antonio Ramos you will be missed, but your art will live on.

2015 NBA World Champions Golden State Warriors Done After 40 Years

Photo By TIMOTHY A. CLARY via Getty Images

In my blog on June 5, 2015 I said, “Are the Warriors hungry enough, to pull off a championship? I said yes, all they have to do is win their first 2 home games. Don’t let the Cavaliers win any games in Oracle and keep home court advantage.” Well, it didn’t go that way. The warriors won game 1 by 8 points, lost game 2 by 2 points and lost game 3 by 4 points. Everyone started doubting, that the Warriors could come back from being down 2 games to 1. I kept saying, that they barley won game 2 and 3. The Warriors tied the series in game 4 and won by 21. My husband said “the Warriors can beat the Cavaliers and are going to beat the Cavaliers 3 games straight and win the championship in Cleveland.” He was right. Game 5 was a 13 point win for the Warriors. After the Warriors beat the Cavaliers in game 5, the interview with LeBron James and his big-headed self said “I feel confident because I’m the best player in the world,” and “I know I’m shouldering a lot of the burden, but it is what it is.” I think he cursed himself and his team by being so arrogant. Ok, he may think he’s the best player in the world but he can’t do it by himself. Basketball is a team sport and you have to have a supporting cast in order to win. Just like Michael Jordan, he was the best player when he started but without a supporting cast and he didn’t win. I think Steph Curry is the best player in the world, because he has that supporting cast. In game 6 the Golden State Warriors out of Oakland California won by 8 points, winning the NBA title after 40 years. In my opinion Steve Kerr and his coaching staff are geniuses, for starting Andre Iguodala in the last 2 games. Everyone on the Warriors contributed to the team winning this NBA title and having a historic season. It is hard to go wire to wire and win a title. For all you hater’s that said a jump shooting team can never win a title. I’m just saying, #DUBSNO! Oakland California as well as the whole state of California and world were watching one of the best NBA finals in a long time. If you missed it, you missed some fantastic games. Congratulations 2015 Golden State Warriors NBA Champions!

It took 40 years for the Golden State Warriors to get to the NBA Finals

If someone asked me six years ago, who is your favorite NBA team? I would have said “I don’t have one anymore since Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls.” About five years ago, my husband was watching a NBA game on TV. That was on October 28, 2009 the teams that were playing was Warriors and the Rockets. I remember that day because it was my second birthday, I mean the day two years prior that I received my kidney transplant. When my husband watches sports, he’s real vocal. All I heard from the other room was “OOO! That boy is bad! And honey you have to see this.” I walked into the room sat down started watching the game and was hooked. He was talking about Stephen Curry’s debut game into the NBA. He had been following Stephen Curry since he was in college and had said “if he goes into the NBA he is going to great”. Oh! Boy he is something special.

Well it’s on! Thursday June 4, 2015 at 6 p.m. the Golden State Warriors of Oakland California vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. It has been 40 years since the Warriors have won a championship. Are the Warriors hungry enough, to pull off a championship? I say yes. All they have to do is win their first 2 home games. Don’t let the Cavaliers win any games in Oracle and keep home court advantage. The Warriors basketball team may be small in size compared to the Cavalier’s but they are big at heart. Their defense is fantastic and their bench is deep. O! Yea! We have those guys, I’m talking about the splash brothers Stephen and Klay. Don’t forget the other guys Draymond, Harrison and Andrew. The bench players can also pick up the slack when the starting 5 are not shooting well. This is going to be one of the best series in my opinion, since the Chicago Bulls first win in 1991. Oakland California and the whole state of California along with the world will be glued to their TV sets for the NBA finals. You don’t what to miss this, it’s going to be fantastic.

UPDATE 1st Game of the Finals:  Cavaliers 100 Warriors 108

The City of Ferguson Missouri a Suburb of St. Louis Along With the Rest Of the Nation Is In Outrage Over The Shooting of Michael Brown

On August 9, 2014 in the City of Ferguson Missouri another armed African American teen was shot to death by a Caucasian Police Officer, Darren Wilson, 28. When I first heard of this shooting, the first thing that came to mind was they got another one. I also said the police officer Darren Wilson, was going to get away with it. On November 24, 2014 the Grand Jury decided not to indict Darren Wilson. That was not anything new, it was just another African American. This has been going on for hundreds of years and it will continue as long as we have this prejudice legal system. Yes, I said it the legal system is so prejudice against people of color it is outrageous! After the verdict was read protester in the streets expressed how they felt and it was nothing nice. The protesters in Ferguson Missouri torn the streets up burned down buildings, now they are under a curfew. In Oakland California protesters shut down streets and a freeway. New York City had riots after the verdict was announced. Boston also had protesters voicing the outrage. This was not just one race fueling their indignation it was people of all races. What we can do as a people, is to keep voicing our disgrace for injustice and just maybe the legal system will change.

BART Strikes Again! Commuters Are Angry!

The workers for BART failed again to come to an agreement with management. So they  went on strike again. Just a little over four months of there first strike in July. Most of the commuters  that take BART into San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley from the out lining areas are angry. I have a friend that takes BART from Oakland to Fremont and then takes the bus to Milpitas. She told me her commute today is horrible. She had to get up three hours earlier to catch the bus, 4 transfers later and still got to work late. I could see why commuters are angry. I think that the BART employees are being  unreasonable. They are fortunate they have a job. There are a lot of people who have been looking for a job for years. A Oakland man was arrested for throwing a traffic cone at a picketing BART striker. If BART employees don't come to an agreement then, it could get more violent.

People Getting Shot With Stray Bullets Is Becoming A Way of Life in the Bay Area

It seems every time I turn on the news, I hear about someone getting shot by a stray bullet. It is becoming a way of life in the San Jose and Oakland Bay Area. On August 3, 2013, 19 year old Kimberly Joyce Estrada Chico was hit by a stray bullet while riding in the passenger’s seat of a friend’s car on her way to a club in San Jose California. Kimberly Joyce Estrada Chico was aspiring to become a registered nurse at San Jose State. Johnny Zapata Lozano allegedly just happened to go outside in the early morning hours and shot off a gun. Authorities don’t believe that Kimberly was targeted. I it a shame this could have happened to anyone. Kimberly just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. It doesn’t stop there. On August 7, 2013 in Oakland California while they slept 20 year old Andrew Thomas and his 16 months old son Drew Jackson was shot while they slept. Andrew Thomas died at the scene and his son Drew Jackson died at the hospital. This tragedy was in the wake of the funeral of Andrew Thomas 18 year old cousin Alquino Rivera. Who was shot over the weekend? Authorities believe that the victims were targeted. What is so sad is that Drew Jackson had to die over some B.S. that his adult relatives were into. There is a disturbing statistics in Oakland California children are getting killed behind stupid sh__. Drew Jackson is the youngest victim of 21 children murdered in Oakland California since 2011. Among them is innocent Alaysha Carradine, 8 years old shot and killed when someone sprayed an apartment front door with gunfire while she was at a sleepover. Then there were Carlos Nava age 3, was killed in Oakland in August 2011 while being pushed in his stroller and Gabriel Martinez age 5 was shot dead later that year. This is alarming statistic we can’t keep losing are innocent defenseless angels. It is a shame that anybody can get a gun if you don’t have a felony. Everyone should have a physiological test. I don’t know what else we can do as a society other than banning all guns. I know that won’t happen people will be outraged. If you can think of a solution let me know.

Transbay Bart Station Shut down in Oakland & San Francisco Due To 3 Alarm Fire

Early Thursday morning June 14, 2012 around 2:15 a.m. a fire broke out, at an under-construction senior center in a framing stage. The fire was next to the West Oakland BART station between Fifth and Seventh streets. Battalion Chief Adrian Sheppard said, “The fire spread to include lampposts, cars, power poles, took down electrical wires and spread to the elevated BART tracks, potentially damaging the tracks and necessitating shutting down power to the tracks.” He also said that “No one was injured and no homes or occupied buildings were damaged in the blaze.” Bart official Jim Allison said “it is too early to tell how long the Transbay Tube may be closed, and whether it may be a matter of hours or even days.” He also said “that a preliminary examination of the tracks suggests there may not be any physical damage and that there is mainly an electrical problem, however that estimate may change.” Bart officials said West Oakland BART station is closed entirely and to find an alternate route. AC Transit official Clarence Johnson says they have not added any additional buses because they don’t have any. Transit officials have changed the bus routes to accommodate BART riders.
Wow! This is the worst time for a fire to break out and shut down the West Oakland Transbay Terminal to San Francisco. BART has thousands of people that commute on a daily basis. With the U.S. open going on in San Francisco the riders on BART have probably doubled. The traffic on highway 880 north bound trying to get into Oakland from Union City, Fremont and Hayward has been a nightmare. Streetwise Courier Service was supposed to pick up for their client today in Oakland and deliver to Fremont. It was canceled due to the traffic situation on 880 north bound. The traffic situation on 80 west bound coming from San Pablo and Richmond going into Berkeley and Emeryville is bad as well. People are panicky and causing accidents adding to the problem. It is a good thing no one was hurt in this fire. It may be a little inconvenient for a while. Slow down people it’s not that serious.

Oakland’s Golden State Warriors are returning to San Francisco

After 41 years Oakland’s Golden State Warriors will be back in San Francisco in 2017. In 1962 the Warriors left Philadelphia and move to Daly City right outside of San Francisco to play at the Cow Palace. The Warriors moved to Oakland -Alameda County Coliseum Arena in 1966, but the move didn’t become permanent until the Oakland Coliseum was renovated and renamed the Oracle Arena this was in 1971. That is when the Warriors became the Golden State Warriors. The new sight for the Golden State Warriors is going to be in San Francisco’s waterfront district at the foot of the Bay Bridge at Piers 30-32. This project is going to be good for San Francisco it will bring much needed jobs to the city. It is being funded privately at a cost of $300 million to $500 million. That is also good because the people of San Francisco won’t have to pay extra taxes. This new arena could have some great concerts and other events there. Some of the draw backs of this project would be the city of Oakland would be losing a lot of jobs. Will the people of Oakland be able to get jobs at the new arena and help build it? What about the traffic? What if there is a Giants game at the same time the Warriors are playing? I sure would hate to be in that traffic. Over all this seems like a good move maybe this might help the Warriors become a winning team again. Don’t hold your breath.

Two Men Arrested In the Oakland Body Burning Case

This is a cold blooded world now days. On July 14, 2011 Monica Rodas from Union City body was found burning in the street of Rockridge neighborhood of Oakland. This was the act of cold blooded individuals, to set a body on fire and throw it on to the street like a piece of trash. Oakland Homicide investigators have been questioning the two men about the murder. I feel so sad for Monica Rodas two year old son, his mother will not get to see him son grow up. I sure hope they got the right men who done this heinous act. These two individuals need to be off the streets so this will not happen to anyone else by these two evil individuals.

OAKLAND COULD BE THE FIRST CITY TO MARIJUANA GROWING OPERATIONS

Flag of Oakland, California. Image created by ...Image via Wikipedia
OAKLAND COULD BE THE FIRST CITY TO MARIJUANA GROWING OPERATIONS

I have been saying they need to legalize Marijuana for years. All the illegal Marijuana operations that have been raided and all that Marijuana being burned, It does not make since, that billions of dollars is going up in smoke. On July 12, 2010 police raided a Marijuana growing operation in San Francisco and Richmond California. This bust is said to have a street value of  about $350,000.

This country is hurting  financially I think Oakland has the right idea.
If Oakland’s council votes this through this would mean jobs, that are so badly needed. I don’t think the illegal pot growers should benefit anymore, it’s about time to legalize Marijuana just like they did alcohol 1933. I think the powers to be, the Government need to get the stick out of their A.. and legalize Marijuana.

OAKLAND TEACHER WALK OUT

OAKLAND TEACHER WALK OUT

People say our children are our future. What’s going on in Oakland school district, is nothing new. This has been going on all over the country for years. Teachers walking out because they have not had a raise in years or working without a contract. How are our children supposed to get the education they need, when teachers are walking out.

I feel for the teachers, because it’s hard enough to make ends meet on a teachers salary, let alone not getting a raise with the cost of living going up. How are our teachers all over this country supposed to go to work and give our children a good education  when they are fed up. Not giving a hundred percent to our children is not acceptable. Something needs to be done about this crisis, because if not then the future of our children is at stake. If that means higher taxes then so be it, because our future is in the hands of our youth.

OAKLAND SECURITY GUARD SHOT DEAD

Crime SceneImage by alancleaver_2000 via Flickr
OAKLAND SECURITY GUARD SHOT DEAD

Less than a week before Christmas a family in Oakland will be grieving the loss of a husband, father and friend. A 59 year old security guard was gun down by two suspects, at the AutoZone near intersection of 101st avenue and International Boulevard Saturday night around 7pm. This was Oakland’s106th homicide this year. The total at the end of last year was 125. This security was supposed to have the day off, but he took someone’s place that was sick. It’s a sad situation, when your trying to do a good deed and you lose your life by such a meaning less crime. The suspects are still a large. I can only imagine how the person who called in sick is feeling. I hope and prey these two suspects are caught and made to pay for their crime and the family gets some justice.
