Are Illegal Car Sideshows on the rise in Oakland?

On January 26, 2013 several persons who had no regards for the safety of others, got together and decided to do one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. The motorist shut down interstate 880 northbound lanes near the Oakland Coliseum complex and began spinning their cars in circles. This stunt is known as doing doughnuts. This was not the only event that happened that day several motorists were videotaped doing donuts at MacArthur Boulevard and Seminary Avenue in Oakland. There were also calls to the police of 50 to 60 cars in West and East Oakland parading up and down the streets. Oakland police recorded 18 calls and incidents related to sideshow activity Saturday. In 2002 the last reported case of a freeway sideshow was inside the Caldecott Tunnel between Oakland, Berkeley and Orinda. Sideshows back in 2005 were at its peak the Oakland police received over 700 sideshow-related complaints. On Saturday January 26, 2013 Oakland Police logged 60 sideshow-related calls and incidents. Is this what’s to come for 2013 in Oakland, a repeat of 2005? This was definitely a planned event, with the access to social media these kinds of events are easy to plan and probably will continue to happen. I feel that every one that participated in this dangerous event needs to be punished severely. They need to be made an example of, so that this kind of activity will make others think twice about endangering lives.

Erik Dellafosse said he was at a car meet in San Leandro on Saturday when a man gave him $7,000 to test drive his bright purple Nissan 240SX with orange rims. How stupid was this idiot. Erik said “He was gone for about 30 minutes,” Dellafosse said. “Then he called his friend [who] told us where my car was, we loaded my car in the tow truck, we came home, and then I started getting hella videos about my car doing donuts on the freeway.” “I let a stupid ass idiot test drive my car … and now I’ve got to take care of whatever has to happen.” He is an idiot too, apparently had not heard the saying “all money is not good money”. Erik Dellafosse said he had to repaint his car red, “Because my car is hot. What can I do with it? I can’t go nowhere with it.” That sounds a little suspect to me because maybe he knew what was happening or he’s playing dumb so he won’t get in trouble.

Beyoncé` Lip Sync’s National Anthem

When I found out that Beyoncé was going to sing the National Anthem at President Obama’s second inauguration, I said why her? Beyoncé lip syncing the National Anthem was not a surprise. I have been saying along that Beyoncé’s voice is not that strong and she really can’t sing. She was exposed when she played in Dream Girls with Jennifer Hudson. Jennifer out sang her and still does in my opinion. Any true singers would have killed it without any rehearsing. Beyoncé is supposed to be a superstar! She should have performed the National Anthem live. This was a history making event. That goes to show you that some of these so called superstars are not really that great. San Jose’s First Homicide of 2013

I grew up in San Jose California. It really makes me sad that homicides in San Jose have really gotten out of hand over the years. In 2012, five days into the year there was a homicide. By the end of 2012, there were 46 homicides. Is this becoming a trend? Here we go again. January 6, 2013 San Jose Police received a call about 7:55 a.m. About a possible body at a house on the 1900 block of Tripoli Avenue in central San Jose, in the neighborhood south of Story Road between McLaughlin Avenue and Highway 101. When police arrived there was a body in the front yard. The identity has not been released. The neighbors said the shooting occurred about 11 p.m. Saturday. Police Officers responded shortly after the shooting and searched the area with flashlights didn't notice the victim in the darkness and the rain. A Neighbor said, "We heard arguing in Spanish and two gunshots -- Boom! Boom!" said a boy who lives nearby, who like other neighbors asked not to be identified to avoid possible retaliation. "So we called the cops, and they arrived fairly quickly. They said they looked around but didn't find anything." Neighbors also said they heard a car speeding away from the scene shortly after the gunshots. Police have made no arrests and have no suspects in the killing, of this thirty something year old man. When the police called the home the mother-in-law of slain man said in Spanish that they had to talk to the widow who was not available. Was this shooting gang related? Did it have something to do with domestic violence? We will know in the days to come. No matter whether its gang related, domestic violence or crime against another person taking the life of a person is so very wrong. This is a terrible way to start the New Year.

Newtown Connecticut Community Innocence Lost

I was on a Caribbean cruise, when I heard about the mass shooting in Newtown Connecticut. I was walking through the ship and I saw a crowd of people huddled in the wine bar lounge. Where they have big screen TV’s. I stopped to see what all the commotion was and I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. Tears just started running. The first thing I thought was those poor innocent babies and that it could have been any ones child. Then I got MAD as I started listening to the facts. To hear that Nancy Lanza had purchased the guns that ultimately killed her and the 28 other innocent souls was horrible. Nancy Lanza knew her son Adam Lanza was unstable, yet she took him to a shooting range. I feel its Nancy Lanza fault for having those weapons in her possession. I know that it’s everyone’s right to bear arms. These mass shootings are getting out of hand. Some people just don’t need to have a gun or access to one. What in the world would you need with a Bushmaster .223 assault rifle, 9mm Sig Sauer and a Glock 10 mm? Guns like that are meant to do serious damage. Some people are going crazy now. They are purchasing more guns and ammunition, because their afraid that the President’s ban on assault weapons is going to pass. This would mean they would not have access to them. Is our society so numb too these mass shootings? That some people would rather go out and buy more guns instead of maybe think about not having assault weapons. I hope it does pass, because no one needs an assault weapon not unless there in the arm forces or on the police force. On December 14, 2012 from now until the end of time, the community and Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton Connecticut will mourn the 28 innocent souls that were lost. Will the Fiscal Cliff Send the Country into a Deeper Recession

I’m so sick to death of congress. We the people elected these clowns and they are acting like idiots. They can’t come together and get this Fiscal Cliff problem solved. President Obama put to congress a $1.6 trillion over the next 10 years and a tax rate increase on income above $250,000 a year which would be 39.6 percent. The Republicans need to stop acting like crybabies and put a reasonable solution on the table. I think that the top 2 percent of Americans need to start paying their fair share and stop being so darn greedy. The free ride is over! Why can’t they see we would not be having this problem, if they had not been so selfish? The Republicans and that Bush character got us in this chaos in the first place. Can’t they see that a tax increase on the middle class would be terrible? This would mean a tax increase of $2,000 and $2,400 a year. This would put more of strain on their finances. The $600 billion cuts in Medicare and other programs will also be very bad. The elderly can barely afford their medication now. My mother-in-law needs our help each month to get all the medications she needs. I want to know, what are the other programs that are going to be cut? The Republicans need to work with the President to fix this problem, because everyone is going to be hurt by this. I know I don’t want to go into a deeper recession. We’re trying to get over, the one we are already in. I think that it will hurt the United States economy.

NASA's Curiosity May Have Made A Historic Discovery On The Planet Mars

When you look up at the stars, do you ever wonder, are there other forms of life up there? I know I have. I’m not that arrogant to think humans are the only ones in the universe. On Aug. 5, 2012, the $2.5 billion Curiosity rover landed inside Mars' huge Gale Crater. Curiosity’s mission for the next two years is to determine, if Mars has ever been capable of supporting microbial life. On November 20, 2012 NASA's Curiosity SAM (Sample Analysis at Mars instrument) was probing around and found something in the soil. What did it find? Is what they found, life as we know it? Or is it an alien life form? Is what they found going to affect us here on earth? Will this finding, challenge our religious beliefs? We were taught that God created the universe. Was there life on Mars and what happened to it? Can the scientist learn from what they find on Mars? Can what they found teach us how to treat earth with care. I sure hope so because. climate change here is real. Chief scientist John Grotzinger of Cal tech in Pasadena said, "This data is gonna be one for the history books." Are there other forms of life out there in this universe? We will soon see. Check back for more information on this very interesting discovery as it unfolds.
