Newtown Connecticut Community Innocence Lost

I was on a Caribbean cruise, when I heard about the mass shooting in Newtown Connecticut. I was walking through the ship and I saw a crowd of people huddled in the wine bar lounge. Where they have big screen TV’s. I stopped to see what all the commotion was and I could not believe what I was seeing and hearing. Tears just started running. The first thing I thought was those poor innocent babies and that it could have been any ones child. Then I got MAD as I started listening to the facts. To hear that Nancy Lanza had purchased the guns that ultimately killed her and the 28 other innocent souls was horrible. Nancy Lanza knew her son Adam Lanza was unstable, yet she took him to a shooting range. I feel its Nancy Lanza fault for having those weapons in her possession. I know that it’s everyone’s right to bear arms. These mass shootings are getting out of hand. Some people just don’t need to have a gun or access to one. What in the world would you need with a Bushmaster .223 assault rifle, 9mm Sig Sauer and a Glock 10 mm? Guns like that are meant to do serious damage. Some people are going crazy now. They are purchasing more guns and ammunition, because their afraid that the President’s ban on assault weapons is going to pass. This would mean they would not have access to them. Is our society so numb too these mass shootings? That some people would rather go out and buy more guns instead of maybe think about not having assault weapons. I hope it does pass, because no one needs an assault weapon not unless there in the arm forces or on the police force. On December 14, 2012 from now until the end of time, the community and Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newton Connecticut will mourn the 28 innocent souls that were lost. We at StreetwiseC Special Delivery Courier Service send our Prayers out to the Community of Newtown Connecticut.

Will the Fiscal Cliff Send the Country into a Deeper Recession

I’m so sick to death of congress. We the people elected these clowns and they are acting like idiots. They can’t come together and get this Fiscal Cliff problem solved. President Obama put to congress a $1.6 trillion over the next 10 years and a tax rate increase on income above $250,000 a year which would be 39.6 percent. The Republicans need to stop acting like crybabies and put a reasonable solution on the table. I think that the top 2 percent of Americans need to start paying their fair share and stop being so darn greedy. The free ride is over! Why can’t they see we would not be having this problem, if they had not been so selfish? The Republicans and that Bush character got us in this chaos in the first place. Can’t they see that a tax increase on the middle class would be terrible? This would mean a tax increase of $2,000 and $2,400 a year. This would put more of strain on their finances. The $600 billion cuts in Medicare and other programs will also be very bad. The elderly can barely afford their medication now. My mother-in-law needs our help each month to get all the medications she needs. I want to know, what are the other programs that are going to be cut? The Republicans need to work with the President to fix this problem, because everyone is going to be hurt by this. I know I don’t want to go into a deeper recession. We’re trying to get over, the one we are already in. I think that it will hurt the United States economy.

NASA's Curiosity May Have Made A Historic Discovery On The Planet Mars

When you look up at the stars, do you ever wonder, are there other forms of life up there? I know I have. I’m not that arrogant to think humans are the only ones in the universe. On Aug. 5, 2012, the $2.5 billion Curiosity rover landed inside Mars' huge Gale Crater. Curiosity’s mission for the next two years is to determine, if Mars has ever been capable of supporting microbial life. On November 20, 2012 NASA's Curiosity SAM (Sample Analysis at Mars instrument) was probing around and found something in the soil. What did it find? Is what they found, life as we know it? Or is it an alien life form? Is what they found going to affect us here on earth? Will this finding, challenge our religious beliefs? We were taught that God created the universe. Was there life on Mars and what happened to it? Can the scientist learn from what they find on Mars? Can what they found teach us how to treat earth with care. I sure hope so because. climate change here is real. Chief scientist John Grotzinger of Cal tech in Pasadena said, "This data is gonna be one for the history books." Are there other forms of life out there in this universe? We will soon see. Check back for more information on this very interesting discovery as it unfolds.

Hostess Cakes End Of An Era. Or Is It?

When I heard the news this morning that Hostess Brand Incorporated would be shutting its plants in the United States I said, Oh No! I was remembering my Aunt who worked at the Hostess plant in Sacramento. Whenever she came to San Jose, she would bring us Twinkies, Cup Cakes, Ding Dongs, Ho Ho’s, Snow Balls and Donettes. Hostess has been around for almost a century, they opened their doors in 1930 in Irving Texas. Hostess filed for bankruptcy in 2004 and their reason was that, the company was saddled with costs related to its unionized workforce. The company had been contributing $100 million a year in pension costs for workers. Hostess said the new contract offer would've slash up to 25 million dollars a year. Now in 2012, less than a decade here they go again. The reason this time is nearly a dozen executives received pay hikes of up to 80 percent last year with the company struggling. Then thousands of members of the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers International Union went on strike. They rejected the company's latest contract offer. The Bakers Union represents about 30 percent of the company's workforce. When the company finely reached a contract agreement with the union, it was not enough. Hostess decided to suspend operations and filed bankruptcy on November 16, 2012. Hostess will be letting go nearly 18,500 workers, shut down 33 bakeries, 565 distribution centers nationwide and 570 outlet stores.
People are going a crazy. In San Jose where I live, I was at the grocery store the other day and I could not believe the Hostess cake shelves were nearly bare. This one man had at least 20 boxes of Twinkies and Ding Dong. On Ebay a box of Twinkies are going for 3 million dollars a box. That is insane!!! What in the heck are people doing? With the holidays upon us this money could be put to better use. Like helping people in need! It is too bad that management and the employees could not come to an agreement. I feel that it was greed on both sides, now everyone is out of a job.

NEWS FLASH!  Hostess management and unions agree to mediation. Judge pushes parties toward mediation to save more than 18,500 jobs. Keep coming back for updates

The Presidential Election Is Over the People Have Spoken

For several months the Presidential election was brutal. It got on my last nerve, all the inappropriate things that were said throughout this presidential campaign. Well, when all was said and done the people spoke. I think Mitt Romney concession speech was classy. It was a particular part in his speech that made me look at Mitt Romney a little more kindly. When he said, “The nation, as you know, is at a critical point. At a time like this we can't risk partisan bickering and political posturing. Our leaders have to reach across the aisle to do the people's work, and we citizens also have to rise to occasion. We look to our teachers and professors. We count on you not just to teach, but to inspire our children with a passion for learning and discovery. We look to our pastors and priests and rabbis and counselors of all kinds to testify of the enduring principles upon which our society is built: Honesty, charity, integrity, and family. We look to our parents. From the final analysis, everything depends on the success of our homes. We look to job-creators of all kinds. We're counting on you to invest, to hire, to step forward, and we look to Democrats and Republicans in government at all levels to put the people before the politics.” I just hope Mitt Romney means what he said and sticks to it and not be on and off the fence like he was when he was running for president. This was the most powerful election in the history of the United States. Because of the record number of people who went to the polls. I was so overjoyed with the Presidents acceptance speech. One thing that really stood out and made me so proud to me an American and to live in the best nation in the world, was when he said, "America, I believe we can build on the progress we've made and continue to fight for new jobs and new opportunities and new security for the middle class. I believe we can keep the promise of our founding, the idea that if you're willing to work hard, it doesn't matter who you are or where you come from or what you look like or where you love. It doesn't matter, whether you're black or white or Hispanic or Asian or Native American or young or old or rich or poor, able, disabled, gay or straight. You can make it here in America if you're willing to try." I think the people understood this and that’s why they gave President Barack Obama a second chance to bring this country together. President Obama has always been willing, but he has had opposition from the start.  I think he will bring the two parties together this would be good for the United States and the world.

Hurricane Sandy Devastates East Coast

.
On October 29, 2012, I was on pins and needles worried about my family on the east coast. Hurricane Sandy was causing destruction for the people on the east coast. My mother in-law lives in Baltimore Maryland. She called a day before the storm hit. She said that she had went out and bought can goods, water and batteries for her flash lights. She also froze containers of water to keep her food in the refrigerator cold just in case the power went out. I was a little at ease but still worried sense she lives alone. My mother in-law fared pretty well. She only had a little basement flooding. My Uncle who lives in Harlem New York also fared well.
That is not the case the people living right on the coast. Atlantic City New Jersey was devastated when hurricane Sandy hit. There are still millions people living without electricity. New York was hit hard subways were flooded, this shut down the city. The City of New York was thinking about continue the New York marathon, but that plan did not go head. What were they thinking? To have all those runners risking lives running through all that destruction was utterly ridiculous. I’m wondering how this will effect Election Day. The people who have lost everything will they still go to the polls on Election Day. Hurricane Sandy is a wake up call to everyone to ready for natural disasters. That means having a plan.

Giant's Win World Series

.

The San Francisco Giants win another World Series title. This is the Giants 6th title, to go with their 1905, 1921, 1922, 1954 and 2010 titles. There has been one other National League team to have a sweep a team in the World Series, the 1990 Cincinnati Reds. The San Francisco Giants won two games straight at home, 8 to 3 and 2 to 0. The Giants went to Detroit won game three 2 to 0. The San Francisco Giants won the series in the fourth game with a sweep of Detroit in the 10th inning 4 to 3. This was a team effort. San Francisco took an early lead. Pence hit a one-hop drive over the center-field fence for a double and Brandon Belt tripled on the next pitch for a 1 to 0 lead in the second inning. The third inning, Cabrera gave the Tigers a reason to think this might be their night. He hit a two run home run giving the Detroit the lead 2 to1. The Giants put a dent in Detroit's confidence. Giants Scutaro led off the sixth with a single and then Posey sent a shot that sailed just inside the left-field foul pole for two more runs giving the Giants 3 to 2 lead. Then Cabrera turned around and hit a home run tying the game 3-3. The game continued all the way to the bottom of the 9th with the score still tied. In the 10th inning Marco Scutaro delivered one more key hit with a go-ahead single with two outs in the 10th inning giving the Giants the lead 4-3. In the bottom of the 10th Sergio Romo got Triple Crown winner Miguel Cabrera looking with his third strike for the final out.

The manager Bruce Bochy had the foresight to put this team together and it paid off big time.   The pitching was the most amazing thing I have ever seen in a World Series game. The hitting of the San Francisco Giants was also spectacular! The way Giants MVP of the series Pablo Sandoval put on a hitting clinic in game one was incredible. I was so excited that the Giants won the World Series again.  I think that 2 championships in less than 3 years are pretty amazing.  This shows how great the San Francisco Giants are. San Francisco Giants fans supported their team no matter what. The Giant fans in Northern California are gearing up for a parade on October 31, 2012. All you will be seeing is a sea of orange and black. It is time for celebration for the City of San Francisco and the Bay Area. Congratulations San Francisco Giants!

Presidential Debates Are Over

After all is said and done the Presidential Debates, really got on my last nerve. President Obama stood back in the first one like he did not want to be there. Mitt Romney was feeling himself and spewing lies. I don’t blame the President for his lack of participation. Mitt Romney stood there changing what he had been saying for months about the economy, women’s rights, Medicare, the 47%, and foreign policy. Just listening to an idiot like Mitt Romney would make anyone wish they weren't there. President Obama would answer the question that was asked, but Mitt Romney would only talk about what he thought the President did not do in his four years. Mitt Romney is so wishy washy he reminds me of that Bush character. Overall the debates President Obama made more sense than Mitt Romney he shut Romney down in the last two.  I woke up this morning October 27, 2012 listening to the news. The media was reporting that Mitt Romney has a slight lead over President Obama. Of course the press is disguising the truth. The media makes money off political advertising, and the one thing that fuels the election cycle like none other is the presidential race. We will see on November 6, 2012 on what kind of President will have one that is for all the people or one that is for a few people.

Dr. Marvin Bonham accused of running drug exchange

On October 16, 2012, Dr. Marvin Bonham of Los Gatos was arrested and accused of supplying drugs to minors and trading prescription drugs for cash. Dr. Marvin Bonham was the medical director of the Valley Health Plan, Health and Hospital System of Santa Clara County. He worked for Santa Clara County for almost five years. When authorities went to search his Los Gatos hills home on October 3, 2012, they found weapons, burnt foils that are used to smoke Oxycontin, and the straws. He was growing marijuana under the house. There was marijuana plants hanging and drying in the garage. His roommate James Schneider 32 was arrested. Dr. Marvin Bonham wrote over 1,000 pills of Oxycontin for James Schneider. Dr. Marvin Bonham is facing charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, prescribing without legitimate medical purpose, prescribing to addicts, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of ecstasy and possession of marijuana for sale. Dr. Bonham will be arraigned on October 18, 2012 in San Jose Superior Court. He could face 25 years in prison if convicted.
I think Marvin Bonham should get the maximum sentence. He has the nerve to call himself a doctor. First of all he took an oath to do no harm. Well he sure threw that oath is out the window. Marvin Bonham, yes I’m not putting doctor in front of your name because you don’t deserve it shame on you.

95-Year-Old Woman Attacked In Her San Jose Home

On October 1, 2012 at 7 a.m. in the morning a 95-year-old woman was attacked in her home. A man picked the lock on her gate and kicked down her back door at her home on the 1100 block of Laurie Avenue.  The man pepper sprayed her in the face. She has lived in the Willow Glen neighborhood for 40 years. Her neighbors are upset, horrified and very uncomfortable.  Shanna Desai a mother of two who lives down the street on Laurie Avenue said “People aren't sleeping well at night knowing they could be the next target.” “ We've had too many things happen in a short parameter of time, so nobody feels comfortable.”  According to the latest numbers from San Jose police, as of September, response times were majorly lagging. Monday morning’s home invasion qualified as “Priority Two.” The latest numbers show that instead of the target eleven-minute response, it takes an average of nearly 18 minutes for officers to response. Burglaries are up 54- and 72-percent in two areas of Willow Glen, and almost 35-percent city-wide. James Gonzales, a spokesman for the Police Officer Association says “We’re down 340 officers and we’re down a gang enforcement team, burglaries are up 150-percent in areas of Evergreen.” “There should be more press releases, more information provided to the public. We've seen a systemic quelling of information about crime coming from City Hall.”

This situation is scary, because I had no idea that James Gonzales, and home invasions are up in the area where I live. I sleep with my window open I have to really change that.  This shows me that City Hall does not care about public safety. This is a very BIG problem. We pay our taxes which pay City Hall’s elected officials salaries so let’s demand they do something about this. Like starting off with the hiring of more Police Officers, so San Jose can become one of the safest cities to live in again.

Albany Teacher Who Was Arrested and Accused of Lewd act with former student found dead

On September 26, 2012 James Izumizaki 28, was arrested on suspicion of a lewd act with a child under 14 following reports that he had an inappropriate relationship with a former student. James Izumizaki was found dead in his car, of an apparent suicide between 10 and 10:30 a.m. in his car on Via Alamitos in San Lorenzo on October 1, 2012.  Sgt. J.D. Nelson of the Alameda County Sheriff's Department said a family member who lives nearby found James Izumizaki. The Albany School community is stunned that their beloved teacher and coach is dead.  James Izumizaki was a teacher at Albany Middle School for five years he taught sixth grade.
I’m wondering if he was innocent why he apparently killed himself. Well we will never know if he was innocent or guilty. He took the coward’s way out. I think, James Izumizaki was guilty and he was ashamed.  No innocent person would do that. I’m not surprised some the educators that are supposed to educate and keep our children safe are doing unlawful things. I don’t have any sympathy for any adult who prey's on children.

Principal at an Elementary School in Santa Clara Charged with Selling Drugs

On September 24, 2012 Principal Eric Dean Lewis, 42, was charged with six drug related crimes, including sales of methamphetamine, Ecstasy and the date-rape drug GHB, which is used in small doses as an intoxicant by those in the club scene. He was arrested September 20, 2012 at a Cal-Train station in San Francisco, where he had agreed to pick up an undercover agent he ''met'' through a gay dating website. How dumb was this educated fool? He should know you can’t trust most of the people you met on those dating sights. Eric Dean Lewis was a principal at Montague Elementary School in Santa Clara. Lewis faces a maximum sentence of eight years and four months if he is convicted. Prosecutor Daniel Rothbach said “there is no evidence that Lewis was selling or using drugs with children.” The community was shocked when they heard this news. Shawna Yacoub a parent said, "We were really quite disappointed because Mr. Lewis is quite respected here." Santa Clara Unified School District Superintendent Bobbie Plough said, "I think our hiring process is pretty thorough. We do extensive background checks, reference checks and we've never had an incident like this before."

Eric Dean Lewis is not the only principal to be charged with trying to sell drugs to undercover officer. David Groover, principal of Partin Settlement Elementary School in Kissimmee, Fla., was arrested on June 15 after allegedly providing drugs to an undercover Sheriff's deputy. What in the world has come over our leaders in education? Are they doing this to supplement their income? Are they doing this because their addicts? You never know about what a person is into, they may look all squeaky clean but are not. Do you think they were watching too much Breaking Bad?

Mitt Romney Comment Shows His True Self

Every time Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney opens his mouth he gets more ignorant. Back in May in front of wealthy donors he made this comment, “There are 47 percent of the people who will vote for the president no matter what. All right, there are 47 percent who are with him, who are dependent upon government, who believe that they are victims, who believe the government has a responsibility to care for them, who believe that they are entitled to health care, to food, to housing, to you-name-it. That that's an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what…These are people who pay no income tax.” Romney went on: "My job is not to worry about those people. I'll never convince them they should take personal responsibility and care for their lives."

Mitt Romney you ignorant S._ ._ . throughout the years you have contributed to the 47% of the so called people who don’t pay taxes and live off the system. You and your company Bain Capital took over companies lied to the people saying your there to help. Force the company into bankruptcy and the people that worked there were out of a job. Yes, they asked the government for help. They paid their taxes while they were working. They have that right to get some kind of help from the government. You Mitt Romney have the nerve to ship jobs overseas, so you can line your pockets. Hey Mitt this is a thought, if you say you want to help the economy and the people. Then bring all the jobs you shipped overseas back to America, how about that! All you ignorant people who believe in the crap Mitt is spewing go ahead you will be SORRY.

The Anti-Islamic Film That Sparked the Attack in Libya Killing the Ambassador and Three Americans

On July 2011 a casting call went out in Los Angeles California for an adventure film set 2,000 years ago called "Desert Warrior." That's how acting publications described it. The trailer of “Desert Warrior” was posted on YouTube. Viewers saw scene after scene of the Prophet Mohammed portrayed as a womanizer, buffoon, ruthless killer and child molester. Islam forbids all portrayals of Mohammed, let alone offensive ones. The Muslim world erupted in rage. Protesters aired their anti-American anger in Egypt, Yemen, Tunisia, Morocco, Sudan, and Iran and in the Palestinian territories.

On September 11, 2012 a violent mob attacked the U.S. Consulate in the Libyan city of Benghazi, leaving Ambassador Chris J. Stevens and three other Americans dead. Law enforcement officials say a man named Nakoula Basseley Nakoula is behind the anti-Muslim film. The man who calls himself Sam Bacile has said he created the film, but The Associated Press on Wednesday September 12, 2012, connected Nakoula to the Bacile persona.

Official are speculating that this was a planned attack. U.S. sources said Wednesday the four-hour assault in Benghazi had been planned by militants, with the attackers using the protest as a diversion. State Department Under Secretary Patrick Kennedy offered his opinion Wednesday that the attack was planned because it was so extensive and because of the "proliferation" of small and medium weapons at the scene. He was briefing congressional staffers when he made the suggestion. A London think tank with strong ties to Libya echoed the theory. The assault "came to avenge the death of Abu Yaya al-Libi, al Qaeda's second in command killed a few months ago. If this is the case, I think this conflict over in the middle-east will never end.
As for the Muslim world to condemn all of Americans for the actions of a few idiots is ridiculous, this statement goes both ways. The Islamic world and the West are incompatible. Free speech is part of Western culture it obviously is not a part of Islamic culture. A lot a Muslim want the democracy, but they do not want everything that goes with it. Freedom of speech happens to be one of our biggest freedoms. Sam Bacile or Nakoula Basseley Nakoula and all the people who were involved, you can run and hide you cowards. You will get what is coming to you.

Ambassador Chris J Stevens was from California. He attended and graduated from Piedmont High School in San Jose in 1978, and Graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1982 with a B.A. he taught English as a Peace Corps from 1983 to 1985. We at Streetwise Special Delivery Courier Service send our prayers to the families and friends of all four Americans that were killed on that day.

John Burton Should Not Apologize For His Nazi Comment

On September 3, 2012 Chairman of the California Democratic Party John Burton said in a statement about the Republican Party, “They lie and they don’t care if people think they lie.” “As long as you lie, Joseph Goebbels, the big lie, you keep repeating it, you know.” When people figure out that these people say they do not care about the truth and they don’t care if they lie because it doesn’t matter if they lie.” “I mean, that’s very cynical, very dangerous.”

I think John Burton should not have apologized. He just made a comparison to Joseph Goebbel’s big lie. The Republican’s don’t want to hear the truth. They flat out lie and don’t give it a second thought. When someone calls them on their lies, they start crying like little babies. Demanding an apology, for being compared to the Nazi Joseph Goebbels, well you know if it looks like a duck. I’m just saying.

Here is a list of five lies that Paul Ryan told when he gave his speech at the Republican National Convention.
1. Lie: President Obama is the "greatest threat" to Medicare.
Truth: Obama didn't make any cuts to Medicare benefits; he made cuts to provider reimbursements, to improve cost efficiency and extend the fiscal security of Medicare by eight years. According to the Medicare actuary, "[Obama's] Affordable Care Act makes important changes to the Medicare program and substantially improves its financial outlook."1 But Ryan actually does want to cut benefits. He proposed dismantling Medicare and replacing it with a voucher system, leaving millions of seniors to come up with more money to pay for care out of pocket.2, 3

2. Lie: President Obama didn't save a General Motors plant in Wisconsin.
Truth: First, Obama wasn't even in office when the GM plant closed. Second, Obama never made a promise to save it.4

3. Lie: President Obama ignored recommendations of a bipartisan debt commission.
Truth: Paul Ryan actually sat on that commission. And he led Republicans in voting down the commission's own recommendation. So the commission never gave a report to Obama, because Ryan voted to kill the report before it could.5

4. Lie: President Obama is responsible for the downgrading of the U.S. Credit Rating
Truth: House Republicans, including Paul Ryan, held the full faith and credit of the United States hostage to try to ransom it for trillions of dollars in cuts to social programs without increasing taxes on the wealthy one dime. Standard & Poors said specifically, "We have changed our assumption on [revenue] because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues." That's why our nation's credit rating was downgraded.6, 7

5. Lie: Ryan wants to protect the "weak."
Truth: Ryan's biggest feat in his political career was proposing a budget with dramatic cuts to programs benefiting the poor. He'd cut Medicaid by one third, take away health care insurance from 30 million Americans, and cut Pell Grants for 1 million students. All to give more tax breaks to the rich.8

The biased media should report on the lies Paul Ryan told. For all of you people who choose to believe these lies, you are idiots. I am a person who wants the truth, so I can make an informed decision. Keep believing in the lies and you will live to regret it.
